Just thought i'd do a post about Avril Lavigne and how much i adore her. To be honest, shes my inspiration. She sings about her feelings so strongly and she isnt afraid to speak her feelings ethier. Most teenage girls look up to her because of her music, she must be one of the biggest girls in the punk/rock genre.
I absolutley love her song 'When you're gone'. Its speaks about break up, loneliness, death and heartbreak, just generally about missing someone. If you dont listen to it you're definetly missing out.

film summary;

Just to add another post i thought i would do a summary on my favorite movie 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging'
Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging is a romcom movie about a girl, Georgia Nicholson, who falls in love with a boy, Robbie, a bass player from London who just moved to their town and happened to go to their school. He has a brother called Tom, who her best friend Jas falls in love with.
It all starts off with a party. Everyone else was dresssed up all nice and Georgia comes in dressed as an olive. Everyone laughed at her so she ran home.
Georgia's heartbroken when she sees another girl from her school holding hands with Robbie going to his band practice.
Jas and Georgia hitch a plan to try and get Robbie to go out with Georgia insted of Lindsay. Robbie has a passionate love for cats, like Georgia, so she pretends her cat Angus has gone missing so Robbie will go out looking for him with her, when really Jas is in the park with him was going to let him go when she sees Georgia and Robbie. The plan sort of goes to plan, but insted of Jas letting Angus go, he runs away why she is watching the other brother Tom, play basketball with his mates. Tom sees Angus and goes to catch him as soon as Georgia and Robbie come around the corner. Tom then askes Jas out, while Georgia stood there awkwardly.
A few days later, Georgia goes to this boys house, 'Peter Dyer' for kissing tips, he develops a crush on her and follows her everywhere. They all get invited to a party and Peter manages to push Georgia in a bush when Robbie comes past with Lindsay, Tom and Jas, she was so upset.
Georgia's dad tells the family that he has been offered a job in New-Zeland, so her dad went over there leaving the family. For a surprise when the dad gets home, Georgia's mum gets a decorator in to decorate the living room.
She then goes to the swimming pool the next day with Jas and her little sister Libby. Emmbarrassed. Georgia runs to Jas and shows her her legs, they were bright orange, she tried to put fake tan on them but it went wrong. She tried to hide her legs from Robbie but made the mistake of doing a handstand infront of Robbie, he just thought it was funny. Then, Robbie kisses her, he told her he would call her when he sorted things out.
The next day she hears about Robbie's band, Stiff Dylans gig in Brighton, she made the mistake of going with one of Robbies best friends, Dave the laugh, Robbie was heartbroken as he thought she liked Dave now, and not him so he didnt call her back.
Meanwhile, Jas had showed Tom her designes for Georgia's party invites and Lindsay sees them. She then moved her party to the same day as Georgias.
Robbie and Dave found out that Georgia was just using Dave to see if Robbie would get jealous because he didnt call her, but he didnt. Then, Georgia and Jas fall out and Georgia ends up kicking Jas in the shin and she gets sent to the headmasters office.
One night after school, Georgia has to pick up litter for her punishment and Robbie comes over and says a load of horrible, but true things to Georgia, then walks away leaving Georigia in the rain.
In the morning it was Georgia's birthday, her mum and sister came in singing happy birthday and her mum gave her some money to go buy a new phone and also something to wear tonight, as they had planned to go dancing.
On that night, Georgia had come down stairs looking beautiful. Her and her and her mum then went out. They got to this club called Liquid, they went in and went through the back. Millions of people stood there and shouted Happy Birthday Georgia! as soon as she walked in. She ran down and Jas was stood there, she hugged her and went off to dance.
After a while she went over to her mum and asked about her dad and begged not to get a divorce, she didnt know what she was talking about and told her to turn around, so she did. Her dad was stood there dancing right infront of her, she was so happy.
Then, Robbie and all his bandmates went on the stage, and started singing for Georgia, a song called 'Ultraviolet' that Robbie had wrote. Lindsay, Robbies ex now, came on the stage and shouted a load of abuse at Georgia, then gave Robbie a choice of her or Georgia, he chose Georgia. Lindsay ran back off to her party, that nobody had gone to.

first media post!
Hey Bloggers!
Over the past term, we have been studying media in english. We have written a review on our favorite game/album, written a review on three movies, 'Signs', 'The Incrediables' and 'Holes', written an interview with our favorite celebrity and watched an interview with David and Victoria Beckham.
I personally liked writing the album review. I chose one of my favorite bands new album, All Time Low- Dirty Work. We had to comment on the cover art, the singing, the lyrics and also our favorite song of the album. I have two favorite songs of the album, 'Bad Enough For You' and 'I Feel Like Dancin'.
